If those watching this in the future could see her now, they’d witness a nervous young woman going over matters in her head. Over and over, to an exhausting degree, making sure to take notes on specifics she wanted to make in her debut promo.
Everything had to be perfect.
Alix Mayne had one chance at a proper first impression and she wasn’t going to mess it up by being herself. Quickly zipping through her feed, she stops a moment to shake her head, appearing grossed out by yet another teehee in Rome tweet, before letting out a sigh and placing the device on the tripod.
“Just remember to gloss over those confirmed and show that it’s highly possible for there to be additional entrants. Say the thing about Donald going Quackers and you’ll be sure to get a laugh. Oh and mention how grateful you are. Got it? Great. Okay, Alix. Take a breath, take it deep. Showtime on three.”
Mouthing the countdown, with a wave of her hand, the stage was set. Gone was the uncertainty and casual attire, replaced with a rather alluring magician’s leotard and a confident smile.
“Good morning, afternoon, evening or night to all who choose to watch and welcome to your introduction to the wonder that is Alix Mayne. Who is Alix Mayne, you ask? Why she is the dark horse of the wrestling world, making her first home in the APWO. She’s also set to make her official debut for the company at their premier PPV event Absolution in a lovely battle royale which will see her face foes mighty and mini for the sake of being the company’s TIA representative and have a shot at the Hardcore Championship.”
“So what makes Alix so special? Isn’t she just another imperfect clone of a monster and a maniac as the lovely twitterverse revealed recently? Well…for the longest time I hid my eyes, for they were seen as odd. I hid my ambition, for it too was seen as odd. I am someone who represents the ostracized with veiled intentions and sleight of hand that’ll baffle even the most astute of observers. This, along with clear strategies for every person involved, from the quacking yeeters to awful tweeters, will lead me to the grandest of heights without my feet even leaving the ground.”
A wave of her hand produces a set of cards, each with the image of a participant with some question marks thrown in.
“You see, unlike my competition, I’m not going into this whole thing with a flat, one dimensional perspective, which is why in the end.. All that will be left is me.”
With a flick of the wrist, all the cards turn blank.
“Puoi fermarmi?”
As Alix went to snap the scene to a close, her phone went off. Turning her attention immediately to it, an initial look of irritation turns into a blushing smile, the young star taking a more simple approach to letting things fade to black.
